EagleSoft – ScanX Templates

See the attached documents for a list of recommendations on how to set up the Air Techniques ScanX Templates in Eaglesoft or Patterson Imaging.

The Full Mouth Template orientation is based on VERTICAL Anteriors and HORIZONTAL BWs and NON-military style setup. As if the office is taking x-rays with the A down toward the occlusal or chewing surface and when taking bitewings the A or dot is toward the mandible or always facing down.  Scanning with the dot down, the orientation is as follows:
FMX (18) Template              FMX (20) Template

The 4 Bitewing Template & 2 Bitewing Template orientations are based on HORIZONTAL BWs and NON-military style setup. If taking x-rays with the A down toward the mandible or facing down and then scanning with the dot down, here is the orientation:
4 Bitewing Template                2 Bitewing Template

The 4 Vertical Bitewing Template orientation is based on Vertical BWs and NON-military style setup. If taking x-rays with the A down toward the mandible or facing down and then scanning with the dot down, here is the orientation:

FMX Military Template orientation is based on VERTICAL Anteriors and HORIZONTAL BWs. Positioning is very critical when taking images in the military style.  Please pay special attention to the following document.  Scanning with the dot down, the orientation is as follows:
